The purpose of the app

A southbend.tech audit is a 45-minute diagnostic conversation about how a business owner's week actually goes, followed by a written report naming what is quietly eating their time, what fixes each thing, and roughly what it costs. Some owners start that conversation as a self-serve chat on this site instead of on the phone.

The app is where that work lands. Signed in, a business owner can:

• Read the audit report we wrote for their business.
• Pick up a diagnostic conversation they started earlier, on any device.
• See the findings and recommended fixes from their audit in one place.
• Manage the email address we send their report and follow-ups to.

The app is not a product sold on its own. It exists to deliver the audit that a client has already booked, and to let them come back to it later without keeping track of a PDF in their inbox.

Why it uses Sign in with Google

The people we work with run trades, home-services, and small professional businesses. Asking them to invent and remember another password to read one report is friction that costs us real clients. Sign in with Google lets an owner reach their report with the Google account they already use for work.

What we ask Google for

We request the basic sign-in scopes and nothing else:

• Name and profile picture (userinfo.profile) — so the app can address you and show you which account you are signed in as.
• Email address (userinfo.email) — the identifier we match to your audit, and the address we send your report and receipts to.
• Your Google account ID (openid) — so returning to the app signs you into the same account each time.

We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or any other Google service. We cannot read your mail, your files, or your calendar, and we never ask you to grant that.

What we do with it

Your name and email address are used to sign you in, show you the right audit, and send you transactional email about your engagement — your report, receipts, and replies to something you asked us. We do not sell Google user data, we do not use it for advertising, we do not transfer it to anyone except the service providers that run this site on our behalf, and we do not use it to train AI models. southbend.tech's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Turning it off

You can revoke southbend.tech's access at any time from your Google account permissions page. To have the data we hold about you deleted outright, email info@southbend.tech and we will delete it within 30 days.
